Greer Commission of Public Works
Greer CPW manages approximately 17,700 water meters. The water service territory includes the City of Greer, with northern boundaries that follow Highway 14 to the Water Filter Plant, continuing on Memorial Drive Extension to Valley Haven, then on Highway 101 to North Rutherford Road and Highway 290 to St. Mark Road; southern boundaries stretching down Highway 101 to Robinson road, south of I-85 to Abner Creek and along Highway 14 to the Enoree River; eastern boundaries that follow the Enoree River on Highway 29. Water is also available southeast of the city down Brockman-McClimon Road to Abner Creek, and west along Abner Creek Road to Highway 14 South.
Water Sources:
Primary: Lake Cunningham, constructed in 1957, 280 surface acres
Secondary: Lake Robinson, constructed in 1987, approximately 800 surface acres. Managed water sheds with sufficient water supply until 2037.

Capacity: 24 Million Gallons Per Day (MGD)
Maintained Level: 8 MGD
Maximum Daily Use: 11.2 MGD
Average Daily Use: 6 MGD
Note: Facility originally built in 1971 with 8 MGD; Expanded in 1992 and again in 2004.
Water Distribution:
High Level System: 2 elevated storage tanks; 1 @ 1 MG, 1 @ 750,000 gallons
Low Level System: 3 elevated storage tanks; 1 @ 1.75 MG, 2 @ 500,00 gallons
