Hughes Main Library The new main library is located on Heritage Green in downtown Greenville. This 119,000 square foot facility is the second largest library in South Carolina. Cost of construction of the three-story structure exceeded $17 million. The Jean M. Smith Library of Greer is part of the Greenville County Library System and is located at 505 Pennsylvania Avenue, Greer, SC 29650. Main Library This $11 million, 105,000 square foot facility was completed in 1997. The Spartanburg County Library had its beginnings in 1885. The Middle Tyger Branch Library is located in Lyman, South Carolina and offers an array of library resources to local residents in the greater Greer area.
