Business Recycling Assistance Program
The Recycling Market Development program is managed within the South Carolina Department of Commerce as part of their existing business services. Their goal is to coordinate the activities of the Recycling Market Development Advisory Council (RMDAC). This program is a joint effort of three non-regulatory state organizations that are focused on providing technical assistance to companies in four areas: waste reduction, recycling, buying recycled material, and recycling markets/market development. The SCDOC staff provides business development, marketing, and technical assistance to businesses involved in processing or making products with recyclable materials. It also provides information to industries seeking recycling options for their waste by-products.
